Following the overwhelmingly positive response for the first two seasons, streamer Disney+ Hotstar has renewed campus drama Kanaa Kaanum Kaalangal for the third season.

The webseries is inspired by the television serial of the same name that aired on Vijay TV in 2006. The first season premiered in 2022, and the second one this April. As both seasons were well received, the streamer has planned to renew the series. The makers issued a statement saying, “As in the case of the first and second seasons, the series, through its engaging and entertaining story, will look to capture and present all the joys, tears, fears, surprises, pain, and thrills of present-day students.”

Details about the cast and plot of Season 3 are yet to be unveiled. Also, the number of episodes in the third season has not yet been revealed. The first season featured 132 episodes, while the second had 112 episodes.
