The makers of the Halitha Shameem film Minmini released the lyric video for the song 'Minmini Nee' on Tuesday. Khatija Rahman makes her debut as a music composer for this film, which releases on August 9.

The song is penned by Halitha Shameem and sung by Sarthak Kalyani and Sireesha Bhagavatula. The full album was recently released and contains four songs, all composed by Khatija and penned by Halitha.

Minmini, which is said to be Halitha's dream project, was shot over seven years to show the real growth of the actors. It features a bunch of child artists from Halitha's debut film, Poovarasam Peepe (2014). Minmini stars actors Esther Anil, Praveen Kishore, and Gaurav Kalai in lead roles. Halitha later became popular for directing films such as Sillu Karupatti (2019) and Aelay (2021). She also directed a segment in Putham Pudhu Kaalai Vidiyaadhaa (2022).

Minmini is expected to be a coming-of-age film that follows two youngsters who carry survivors’ guilt. Manoj Paramahamsa is handling the cinematography while also co-producing the film. Raymond Derrick Crasta has handled the editing.
