The teaser for the Samuthirakani-starrer Thiru.Manickam was released on Thursday by Saregama. The thriller is directed by Nanda Periyasamy, and produced by GPRK Cinemas.

The teaser, which has a voiceover by M Sasikumar, draws parallels between the events happening in the film and those of a jungle, and there are comparisons between Samuthirakani's character and a deer. The film seems to be shot in and around a hill station.

Apart from Samuthirakani, Thiru.Manickam stars Bharathiraja, Ananya, Thambi Ramaiah, Ilavrasu, Nasar, Chinni Jeyanth, Vadivukarasi, Gracy, Chaams, and Sriman. Vishal Chandrasekhar composes the music, while Snekan, Raju Murugan, Ilango Krishnan, and Sorkko are credited with the lyrics. Sukumar M handles the camera, and Guna is the editor of the film. Art direction will be handled by Sahu.

Samuthirakani was seen in a slew of Tamil films this year, such as Indian 2, Hit List, Garudan, Rathnam, Yaavarum Vallavare, Singappenney, Siren, and Mudakkaruthaan. He also played the role of Vibhishana in the Telugu superhero film Hanu-Man.
