Actor Sivakarthikeyan unveiled the first-look poster of Robber, starring Sathya of Metro fame in a lead role. The writer and director of the 2016 Bobby Simha starrer Metro, Ananda Krishnan is the co-writer and co-producer of Robber. The film reunites him with actor Sathya and marks the directorial debut of SM Pandi. Ananda and Pandit wrote the screenplay and dialogues.

The title poster shows Sathya as a masked robber with what seems to be a gold chain in his right hand.

The film also stars Senrayan, Deepa Shankar, Jayaprakash, and Big Boss Tamil fame Daniel Annie Pope. It has music by Johan Shevanesh, cinematography by NS Uthaya Kumar, editing by Srikanth NB, and stunts by C Mahesh.

In an exclusive conversation with CE, Kavitha confirmed that the film is a thriller set in multiple locations, including North Chennai, that the film's production is wrapped up, and that the makers are planning a June 2024 release.
