After the critical and commercial success of his social drama Ayothi, director R Manthira Moorthy has joined hands with Gopuram Films for his second film.

Making the official announcement on social media, the director said he is "extremely grateful and happy" to be working on his sophomore for the banner.

Following Ayothi's success, it was rumoured that Manthira Moorthy would helm the next one starring Kangana Ranaut in the lead. But he clarified that he is not doing the film and will make his second film too for Trident Arts.

However, Gopuram Films has sealed the deal with the Ayothi director.

Major information about the film like the plot, cast and other members of the technical crew are under wraps currently.
