Politician and wife of late actor-politician Vijayakanth, Premalatha has confirmed that her husband will be a part of Vijay's Greatest Of All Time (GOAT), directed by Venkat Prabhu.

In her recent interview to a Tamil YouTube channel, Premalatha said Vijay and Venkat Prabhu met her on several occasions in Chennai while she was on a brief break after election campaigning. She said the director sought her permission to portray Vijayakanth using AI in GOAT and confirmed that the two-time MLA will make his presence on the silver screen in the Vijay-starrer.

The first single, 'Whistle Podu' , of the movie was released on April 14. The 'kuthu number' is penned by Madhan Karky and sung by Vijay.

Written and directed by Venkat Prabhu, the cast of GOAT also includes Mohan, Jayaram, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Vaibhav, Premgi Amaren, and Yugendran Vasudevan. The makers of the film recently announced that GOAT is all set to hit the theatres on September 5.

On the technical front, the film has cinematography by Siddharth Nuni, editing by Venkat Raajen, art direction by Rajeevan, and stunt direction by Dileep Subbarayan. Archana Kalpathi producing the film under the AGS Entertainment banner.
