Ayngaran to re-release Ghilli in overseas territory

Tamil film distribution company Ayngaran has announced that it would distribute Vijay's Ghilli for re-releasing overseas.

The distributor wrote in an official post, "Mass Celebration ku ready ah 🔥🥳Get ready to witness the performance of THALAPATHY @actorvijay on big screens once again! 🔥 Elated to re-release Thalapathy's #Ghilli overseas from April 19th! 💥 #GhilliReRelease @trishtrashers #Vidyasagar." (sic)

With Ayngaran's announcement it is also clear that the film will re-release in overseas territory on April 19, whereas in Indian theatres the film will be screened on April 20.

Ghilli follows Saravana Velu who shies away from studies to pursue Kabaddi. He is caught in the crosshair of a Madurai gangster Muthupandi (Prakash Raj), who courts Dhanalakshmi (Trisha) against her wishes, while he appears for a Kabaddi tournament.

In addition to Vijay, Trisha and Prakash Raj, the ensemble cast includes Ashish Vidyarthi, Janaki Sabesh, Dhamu and Tanikella Bharani. The technical crew comprises cinematographers S Gopinath and KV Anand, editors B Lenin and VT Vijayan, and music director Vidyasagar.

The re-release announcement came recently with a newly edited trailer of the film.
