New glimpse of Shanmuga Pandian from Padai Thalaivan out

An out-and-out action-thriller made in the backdrop of forests, Padai Thalaivan is helmed by U Anbu

Earlier, we reported that Actor-politician Vijayakanth’s son Shanmuga Pandian is all set to make a comeback with Padai Thalaivan after his last outing Madurai Veeran (2018). On Saturday, the makers of the film unveiled a new glimpse featuring Shanmuga, on the occasion of the actor's birthday.

The glimpse features Shanmuga Pandian as a ruffian who has a special relationship with elephants. Helmed by U Anbu, who has previously made films like Walter (2020) and Rekhla (2022), Padai Thalaivan is billed to be an out-and-out action-thriller made in the backdrop of forests.

Apart from Shanmuga Pandian, the cast also features director and actor Kasthuri Raja, Yamini Chander, the granddaughter of veteran filmmaker AC Tirulokchander, Munishkanth, and Rishi Rithvik.

With music by Ilaiyaraaja, Padai Thalaivan has a screenplay and dialogues by director Parthiban Desingu. The technical team consists of cinematographer SR Sathish Kumar, editor S Elayaraja, and stunt choreography by Mahesh Mathew.
