The makers of Ma Po Si have shared the first-look poster of the film on social media earlier today, alongside the link to an intro video. The film stars Vemal in the lead role of a teacher, and the poster gives a glimpse of his character with a chalk in his hand.

The video, meanwhile, explains the evolution of education, how it was denied to the downtrodden, and the many ways in which it was made accessible by different political leaders in Tamil Nadu. The video goes on to explain that there was a village named Mangollai where education was denied in the name of God. It hints that Vemal would go to the village and make education more accessible to its people.

Bose Venkat is directing Ma Po Si, Vetrimaaran is presenting the film, and Siraj S is producing it through his SSS Pictures banner.

Siddhu Kumar is the music composer for the film, while Kannan MK is executive producing it. This is the second film to cast Vemal as a teacher; earlier, he played a similar role in Vaagai Sooda Vaa.
