After SJ Suryah and Suraj Venjaramoodu, Dushara Vijayan has joined the cast of Vikram's Chiyaan 62. She will be seen as the female lead of the film, helmed by director SU Arun Kumar of Chithha fame.

Dushara, who rose to fame with Pa Ranjith's Sarpattai Parambarai, was last seen in Aneethi, in which she starred alongside Arjun Das. An up-and-coming actor, she is also known for her performance in Natchathiram Nagargiradhu, in which she played the lead role.

GV Prakash has been roped in to compose music for Chiyaan 62, while Theni Eswar will crank the camera. The film is backed by Riya Shibu under the HR Pictures banner. It may be noted that Riya's father Shibu Thameens bankrolled Vikram starrers like Irumugan and Saamy Square.

The makers have also announced that the first leg of shooting for the film is all set to commence by the end of this month. More details regarding the film's titled, extended cast and crew are yet to be made by the makers.

Meanwhile, Dushara also has the Rajinikanth film Vettaiyan helmed by TJ Gnanavel, and the Dhanush directorial Raayan, in the pipeline.
