While condolences have still been pouring from all quarters for the death of Vijay Antony's elder daughter Meera, the composer-actor has released a statement on her passing.

Vijay Antony took to his X handle and wrote, "My daughter Meera is very loving and brave. She has now gone to a peaceful world devoid of caste, religion, money, jealousy, pain, poverty and hatred. She is still talking with me. I have died along with her. I have started spending time now with her. Whatever good deeds that I will be doing henceforth on behalf of her, will be initiated by her."

Meera, who was sixteen years old, died by suicide in their residence in Alwarpet around 3 a.m. on Tuesday, September 19. Following the young child's demise, many from the film fraternity took to social media to pay condolences.

Meera, who was majorly kept away from the limelight, became famous earlier this year after a photo of her with a winner sash went viral on the internet.
