On Tuesday, Netflix announced that Jayam Ravi's latest film Iraivan will premiere on the streaming platform on October 26. Helmed by I Ahmed, the film also stars Nayanthara, Rahul Bose, and Narain among others. 

Iraivan is billed as a crime thriller revolving around a serial killer. The film also stars Vijayalakshmi, Charlie, Azhagam Perumal, and Vinoth Kishen among others. Ahmed has previously helmed  Endrendrum Punnagai and Manithan. 

Backed by Sudhan Sundaram and Jayaram G of Passion Studios, Iraivan has cinematography by Hari K Vedanth and editing by Manikanda Balaji. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed music for the film. 

Iraivan marks the second collaboration between Jayam Ravi and Ahmed after Jana Gana Mana, a big-budget spy thriller, which is yet to be completed. The film's shoot got stalled halfway due to the pandemic-induced restrictions. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the composer for Jana Gana Mana as well.
