We had previously reported that veteran actor Rekha of Kadalora Kavithaigal fame will be headlining a film titled Miriam Maa. The makers on Wednesday released the trailer of the film.

A release date is yet to be mentioned.

Apart from Rekha, the film also features Ezhil Durai, VJ Ashiq, Malathy Narayan, Sneha Kumar and Anitha Sampath, among others. The film is helmed by directed by a debutant named Malathy Narayan, who is a doctor by profession.

The trailer begins with Rekha along with other characters visiting a doctor to discuss about pregnant possibilities. While she introduces her son's friend and calls her girlfriend, the trailer shows a pregnant Rekha. There are mentions of queer relationships, at the same time dismissing them at a comical level. 

Miriam Maa is a story of a 50-year-old who undergoes IVF treatment to get pregnant. The film discusses the reasons that compelled her to make the decision in a comical way. 

The film has cinematography by Jason Williams and music by AR Raihanah and Moonroxx.
