Monday marks the 71st birth anniversary of the multi-hyphenated late comedian-actor-screenwriter-playwright Crazy Mohan. On the occasion, actor Kamal Haasan, one of Mohan's closest friends, took to his official X handle to pen a note remembering him.

In Tamil, the Vikram actor wrote, "Today is my dear friend Crazy Mohan's birthday. A man who adapted his sense of humour to his skin. Under that skin, he had deep genetic training, a wide reading of mythology, and the ability to feel the weight of intense emotions. That's why he was the modern chocolate Krishna for all of us."

Crazy Mohan has worked as a script and dialogue writer on many of Kamal's films, including, Apoorva Sagodharargal, Michael Madana Kama Rajan, Sathi Leelavathi, Avvai Shanmughi, Kaathalaa Kaathalaa, and Thenali among others. He has additionally acted in some of these films, including, Vasool Raja MBBS, for which he also was a screenwriter.
