Earlier, we reported that Ameer's next has been titled Maayavalai. The film is backed by Yuvan Shankar Raja's banner YSR Films along with Ameer's under Ameer Film Corporation.

On Wednesday, the makers announced that Vetrimaaran's Grass Root Film Company has also stepped in for the film's release. Maayavalai is helmed by Ramesh Bala Krishnan and also stars Sathya, Sanchita Shetty, Vincent Ashokan, and Dheena, among others. The plot of the film is kept under wraps.

Earlier, the makers released the first look poster of the film, which showed half the face of Ameer and a silhouette of a couple on the other side.

It is to be noted that Yuvan Shankar Raja is a long-time collaborator of Ameer and has composed for latter's directorial Raam, Paruthiveeran and Mounam Pesiyadhe. Besides producing, Yuvan will also compose music for the upcoming film.
