Rebel, the upcoming film starring actor-composer GV Prakash in the lead role, has completed its shooting, the makers announced on social media on Monday.

Directed by Nikesh RS, who will be making his debut, Rebel is backed by KE Gnanavelraja under the banner of Studio Green. Nikesh has previously worked as an associate director on  Kazhugu, 1945, and Bellbottom.

According to reports, the upcoming film is said to be inspired by true events and focus on the students. Rebel is also expected to be a period drama set in the 80s.

The technical crew includes cinematography by Arunkrishna Radhakrishnan and editing by Leo John Paul. Rebel was launched in December 2021. Besides starring in the film, GV Prakash will also be scoring the music.
