Close on the heels of his Vijay-starrer Leo, director Lokesh Kangaraj has revealed that he is launching his production house. In a statement released online, Lokesh revealed that the banner is called G Squad. 

The filmmaker has further revealed that the first few projects under his banner will launch his friends and assistants. We can expect him to reveal details about his maiden production soon. 

On the direction front, Lokesh is currently working on the pre-production for his upcoming film with Rajinikanth, which is tentatively titled Thalaivar 171. He will next be seen on Kaithi 2, starring Karthi in the lead. While Kaithi 2 will be part of the ongoing Lokesh Cinematic Universe, Thalaivar 171 will not be part of the LCU. A sequel to Vikram and Leo—other films in the LCU—are also in the cards.
