Silambarasan, Venkat Prabhu and others pen a note on 2 years of Maanaadu

Saturday, November 26 marked 2 years since the release of the Venkat Prabhu directorial Maanaadu. On the occasion, the director, lead actors Silambarasan and SJ Suryah, and female lead Kalyani Priyadarshan took to their official X handle to pen a note. 

Venkat Prabhu wrote, "What an experience making this movie!!! Can never forget this for life!! Thanks to the team and my cast and crew!! Everyone involved in the release!! And spl thanks to cinema fans."  (sic)

Adding to this, Silambarasan said he wouldn't mind getting into the loop once again. "Two years of endless love and celebrations! Wouldn't mind getting in this time loop one more time! Thanks to all the people involved in creating this masterpiece,"  (sic) he wrote. 

Replying to Silambarasan, Kalyani Priyadarshan said that Maanaadu was one of the films she will always be proud of. "A film I’m most proud of in my filmography! Can not believe it’s been two years! I can watch it on a loop even now. Thank you, sir and everyone in the team for memories I’ll always cherish." (sic)

SJ Suryah also had a few words to say, as he thanked his team. "Thanking all my sisters, brothers, and friends along with Nanban Silambarasan, Director Venkat Prabhu sir, Producer Suresh Kamatchi sir, pretty Kalyani Priyadarshan, young maestro 
Yuvan Shankar Rajaa & team." (sic)

Maanaadu hit theatres in 2021 and opened to great reviews. Apart from the abovementioned lead cast, the film also starred Premgi Amaren, S. A. Chandrasekhar, YG Mahendran, Vagai Chandrasekhar, and Karunakaran among others. The film revolved around the time loop concept.
