Earlier, we had reported that actor-filmmaker Radhakrishnan Parthiban would collaborate with D Imman for his upcoming film. The forthcoming film comprises five songs for which notable musicians lend their voices. Earlier, Shruti Haasan and Harish Sivaramakrishnan were roped in for two songs.

Now, Imman has announced that Shreya Ghoshal has also lent her voice to a song. Announcing the news, he said, "Glad to rope in Dear Friend, sis Shreya Ghoshal for Director/Actor Parthiban’s next directorial venture! Always magical recording your voice! God be with you and your family! Can’t wait to share the song with you all! Lyric by Radhakrishnan Parthiban!"

Recently, Shreya Ghoshal won the Best Female Playback Singer award for Maayava Thooyava song from the film Iravin Nizhal, directed by Parthiban at the recent 69th National Film Awards. The music for the film was composed by AR Rahman.

Parthiban last directed Iravin Nizhal, which was released theatrically last year. It is regarded as Indian cinema's first non-linear single-shot film. The film also entered the Asia Book of Records and India Book of Records for being the first Asian non-linear single-shot film.
