On Thursday, veteran actors Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan got together and enjoyed a lighthearted time while filming their respective films. It so happened that, after 21 years apart, the two actors were filming at the same location.

While Kamal Haasan is filming for director Shankar's Indian 2, the sequel to the 1996 blockbuster, Rajinikanth is shooting for director TJ Gnanavel's upcoming untitled film Thalaivar 170. Lyca Production, which is bankrolling both films, shared pictures and a video of the legendary stars spending a happy moment with each other at the studio.   

Kamal Haasan, who was last seen in Lokesh Kanagaraj's Vikram (2022) has a bunch of projects in hand. Apart from Indian 2, he will be seen in a prominent role in Kalki 2898 AD directed by Nag Ashwin. Kamal will also headline the untitled KH 233, directed by H Vinoth. For KH 234, which is titled Thug Life, the actor will reunite with director Mani Ratnam after Nayakan (1987). The cast of Thug Life also features Dulquer Salmaan, Jayam Ravi and Trisha.

Rajinikanth was last seen in Jailer, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The ensemble cast of Thalaivar 170, which Rajinikanth is working on currently, includes Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Rakshan and GM Soundar in pivotal roles.
