The makers of Marakkuma Nenjam, starring anchor Rakshan in the lead, unveiled the trailer on Saturday. Directed by Yoagandran, Marakkuma Nenjam marks  Rakshan's debut film as the lead character.

The trailer starts by showing a grown-up Rakshan discussing his school life with his best friend, essayed by Dheena. We then see glimpses of his school life, with elements like his first crush, back-bench atrocities, etc. The latter half of the trailer hints at drama and a bitter past.

Billed as a coming-of-age film, Marakkuma Nenjam is Yoagandran's second film after Methagu 2. The film is backed by Filia Entertainment and Kuviyam Mediaworks and is said to be shot in places like Kanyakumari.

Apart from Rakshan, the film also stars Vishaka Dhiman, 'Prankster' Rahul, Dheena, and KPY Rajkumar. With music by Sachin Warrier, and lyrics by Thamarai, the cinematography and editing are by Gopi Duraisamy and Shashank Malik, respectively.

A release date for Marakkuma Nenjam is yet to be announced.
