The makers of Santhanam's next titled 80s Buildup have unveiled the trailer of the film. Directed by Kalyaan, the comedy film is slated to release on November 24.

The 2.13-minute-long trailer released by Studio Green showcases Santhanam as a die-hard Kamal Haasan fan who one day, on the release of Kamal's film, learns that his grandfather passed away. Sunderrajan, who plays his grandfather is being escorted by Yama and Chitragupta played by KS Ravikumar and Munishkanth. Parallely, we see a gang led by Mansoor Ali Khan trying to get inside Santhanam's ancestral home to steal a knife to get rich. We also see Santhanam meeting his lady love and trying to woo her.

Apart from Santhanam, 80s Buildup will also feature Radhika Preethi, Mansoor Ali Khan, Rajendran, Redin Kingsley, KS Ravikumar, and Thangadurai, among others. Late actors Mayilsamy and Manobala will also be seen in prominent roles.

The film is written and directed by filmmaker S Kalyaan, who has previously helmed Jackpot, Ghosty, and Gulaebaghavali. 80s Buildup is backed by KE Gnanavel’s Studio Green banner.

The technical crew of 80s Buildup consists of music by Ghibran, and cinematography by Jacob Rathinaraj. MS Bharathi is the editor. The film has passed the censorship formalities and has received a U certificate from CBFC.
