The long-delayed and much-awaited Dhruva Natchathiram, helmed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and starring Vikram in the lead, is gearing up for release on November 24. In an interview with Sudhir Srinivasan, Gautham Menon recently revealed that senior journalist Rangaraj Pandey was supposed to be a part of the film's cast.

Speaking about the film's casting choices, Gautham said that Vinayakan was not available to shoot some scenes when they restarted a new schedule this year. The actor was working on Nelson Dilipkumar's Jailer at the time. So, the director changed the script, by including a character who plays the boss of Vinayakan.

"I initially wanted Rangaraj Pandey to play the role. But as it did not work out, I ended up essaying the role," the director revealed.

Also starring, Ritu Varma, Pathriban, Dhivyadharshini, Radhikaa Sarathkumar, and Simran, among others, Dhruva Natchathiram is backed by Ondraga Entertainment and Oru Oorile Oru Film House. The production of Dhruva Natchathiram began in 2016. The release of the film has been postponed many times owing to production difficulties.

With Harris Jayaraj as the music composer, the technical crew also comprises cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa, Jomon T John, Santhana Krishnan, and Ravichandran and editing by Praveen Antony.
