800 to stream on Jio Cinema soon

CE Features

800, the recently released Tamil sports biopic, will stream on Jio Cinema for free from December 2, the makers announced.

Starring Madhurr Mittal as Sri Lankan cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan, the film is directed by MS Sripathy. 800 also stars Mahima Nambiar, Naren, Naaser, Vela Ramamurthy, Riythvika, Arul Das, Hari Krishnan, and Sharath Lohithaswa. The film is co-written by Booker Prize laureate Shehan Karunatilaka.

“The major highlight of the film has to be Muralitharan's interaction with LTTE head Prabhakaran, where they discuss the necessity of a war. The dialogue and gaze in this scene are handled with great perfection that it encourages even the opposers of both icons to take a moment and listen to their stance,” reads CE review of the film.

Ghibran is the music director of the film, and it has cinematography by RD Rajasekhar and editing by Praveen KL. The film, originally shot in Tamil, will be released in Telugu, Hindi and English as well.
