Makers of the upcoming Tamil film Marakkuma Nenjam released the first single, Netrum Indrum, on Sunday. Composed and sung by Sachin Warrier, the song has lyrics written by Thamarai. Set in the backdrop of a school atmosphere, Netrum Indrum celebrates teenage romance. The song features actor Rakshan in a school-going student avatar.

Directed by Yoagandran, Marakkuma Nenjam marks popular TV anchor and actor Rakshan's debut film as the lead character. The actor has previously essayed a significant role in Dulquer Salmaan-fronted Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal. 

Billed as a coming-of-age film, Marakkuma Nenjam is Yoagandran's second film after Methagu 2. The film is backed by Filia Entertainment and Kuviyam Mediaworks and is said to be shot in places like Kanyakumari. 

Apart from Rakshan, the film also stars Rakshan, Dheena, Malina, Rahul, Swetha Venugopal, Ashika Kader, Melvin Dennis, Muthazhagan, Natalie Lourds, Vishvath, Munishkanth, Akila, and Arun Kurian.

The technical team of Marakkuma Nenjam comprises Gopi Duraisamy as the cinematographer and Shashank Malik as the editor.
