Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu to rerelease in June 

Though the makers have announced that Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu will hit the screens in June, they are yet to specify a date.

The much-loved cop drama Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu has been remastered and it has been planned to be released in theatres in June. The Gautham Menon directorial starred Kamal in the lead and was a massive hit at the time of its release. 

Co-starring Jyotikaa, Daniel Balaji, Kamalini Mukherjee and Prakashraj, the film traces the journey of an honest cop investigating a series of murders. Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu has music by Harris Jayaraj and cinematography by Ravi Varman. 

Produced by Seventh Channel Communications, the film attained a cult status over the years and it may be noted that a sequel to the film is being planned by Gautham and Kamal, and the VTV filmmaker is currently working on the script along with writer Jayamohan. There is no word on when the film would take off.
