The first single, Ava Kanna Paatha, from the upcoming Tamil film Kazhuvethi Moorkan, will be released tomorrow at 5 PM. Composed by D Imman, the song has lyrics penned by Yugabharathi. Jithin Raj has lent his voice to the song. 

Directed by Raatchasi-fame SY Gowthamaraj,  Kazhuvethi Moorkan stars Arulnithi and Dushara Vijayan in the lead roles, while Santosh Pratap plays the antagonist. The film is backed by Ambeth Kumar's Olympia Movies.  

In an earlier conversation with Cinema Express, director SY Gowthamaraj said, "Kazhuvethi Moorkan is an action film set in Ramanathapuram. The title is based on Arulnithi's character name, Moorkasamy. In districts like Ramanathapuram, every temple will have a Kazhuvethi tree which was used to execute the medieval capital punishment method. The tree is a character in the film."

Kazhuvethi Moorkan has Saya Devi paired opposite Santhosh. The film also features Munishkanth, Sharath Lohithaswa, Raja Simman, and Yaar Kannan. The technical crew of the film comprises Sridhar as the cinematographer and Nagooran as the editor.
