Director Arun Matheswaran has refuted claims stating that the shooting of Dhanush’s Captain Miller was not shot in  Kalakad Mundanthurai Tiger Reserve (KTMR), but in a private property with proper permission. 

Environmentalists had raised objections to the shooting of the film claiming that it is causing problems to wild animals. They also stated that local people have raised concerns about the high beam lights affecting the wildlife. 

The director added that the shooting is progressing as planned and the production team has spoken to the concerned authorities regarding all the issues pointed out by the environmentalists.

The action-adventure drama set in the pre-Independence era, also stars Sundeep Kishan, Priyanka Mohan, Nivedhithaa Sathish, Malayalam actor Sumesh Moor, and John Kokken.
