The makers of Vijay Sathya's Rajini released the film's trailer on Thursday. Directed by A Venkatesh, the film also stars Sherin Shringar, Samyuktha Shanmugham and Vettikili Bala among others. 

The trailer of Rajini introduces us to Vijay Sathya and his romantic partner, played by Sherin. We are shown a few shots of a car chase, a police investigation and a crime scene. At the centre of it all, Vijay Sathya's character tries to bring his family to safety, while he faces challenges. The trailer ends with the words, "When destiny chases, any common man can become Rajini." The film is billed to be a crime thriller. 

Rajini is produced by V Palanivel under the Vaithiyanathan Film Garden banner.  Kovai Balasubramaniam has co-produced the film. Amrish has composed the music for Rajini, with lyrics penned by Lavarathan. The makers have not yet announced a release date for the film.
