The makers of Sengalam, an upcoming web series starring Kalaiyarasan and Vani Bhojan in lead roles, released the trailer on Saturday. Directed by  SR Prabhakaran, the series is all set to premiere on Zee5 on March 24. 

The trailer introduces us to the world of politics in Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu. The various political families of the district, and what they do for their political gains are conveyed through the 2-minute-long trailer. Kalaiyarasan is seen as a brave character who wields a gun and fights the war of righteousness. 

Sengalam also stars Sharath Lohistashwa, Viji Bhairavi Chandrasekhar, Shali Nivekas, Manasha Radhakrishnan, Vela Ramamoorthy, Bucks, Muthu Kumar, Daniel Annie Pope, Arjai, Pawan, Prem, Gajaraj, and Pooja Vaidhyanathan in prominent roles. With music by Dharan, Sengalam has cinematography by Vetrivel Mahendran and editing by Biju V Don Bosco. 

Sengalam marks SR Prabhakaran's fifth directorial and debut web series. He has previously directed films such as Sundarapandian, Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal, Sathriyan and Kombu Vetcha Singamda.
