The trailer of Pathu Thala, the upcoming film starring actor Silambarasan was released by the makers at an event held in Chennai on Saturday.

The film will hit the theatres on March 30. 

A remake of the Kannada film Mufti, Pathu Thala is directed by Obeli N Krishna. Silambarasan will essay on the character originally played by Shiva Rajkumar in the Kannada version. 

Produced by Jayantilal Gada and KE Gnanavelraja, the film also stars Priya Bhavani Shankar, Gautham Karthik, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Kalaiyarasan, and Teejay Arunasalam in supporting roles. 

Meanwhile, Silambarasan's 48th film was recently announced. Produced by Kamal Haasan's RKFI, the film will be directed by Desingh Periyasamy.
