Following the constant request of the fans, director Vetrimaaran has finally shared updates about his upcoming projects Vadivasal and Vada Chennai-2. 

Speaking at the audio launch of his recent film Vidudhalai Part-1 Vetrimaaran, clarified that he will begin the works for Suriya's Vadivasal, after he wraps the Vidudhalai duology. And after Vadivasal, he will start shooting for Vada Chennai-2 with Dhanush. 

Starring Soori as the lead, Vidudhalai has Vijay Sethupathi playing an important role. The film also stars Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajiv Menon, Chethan and Bhavani Sre. It has music composed by Ilaiyaraaja with cinematography by Velraj. 

Vada Chennai was released in 2018 and the gangster drama starring Dhanush, Ameer and Samuthirakani ended with a lead to a sequel, which has been titled Vada Chennai-2 Anbuvin Ezhuchi.
