Actor Sasikumar's latest film Ayothi, directed by Manithira Moorthy, was released in theatres last Friday. While the film has been receiving mixed reviews, director Suseenthiran has penned a note praising the film and appreciating Sasikumar. 

Sasikumar took to Twitter to share a photo of a hand-written note given to him by Suseenthiran. In Tamil, the note read, "Actors like Suriya and Sasikumar are some of the actors who are doing socially conscious films. Let us support Ayothi which promotes humanitarianism. Congratulations to Sasikumar." Sasikumar played the lead role in Suseenthiran's Kennedy Club.

Apart from Sasikumar, Ayothi also stars Yashpal Sharma, Preethi Asrani, and Pugazh, among others. The film is an emotional thriller about the religious divide among people which prevents them from helping each other.

The technical crew of Ayothi consists of Madheshmanickam as the cinematographer, and San Lokesh handling the edits. The music is composed by NR Ragunanthan and G Durai Raj is the art director. The film is bankrolled by R Ravindran's Trident Arts banner.
