Farhana gets an OTT release date

Directed by Nelson Venkatesan, the film stars Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead

On Monday, the makers of Farhana announced that the film will make its OTT premiere on July 7 on Sony LIV. Directed by Nelson Venkatesan, the Aishwarya Rajesh-starrer hit theatres on May 12 and opened to positive reviews. 

The film revolves around Aishwarya's Farhana, hailing from a Muslim household, takes up a job at a call centre that has women employees to entertain the fantasies of people. She believes that this job is a gift from god and will help her provide good education and lifestyle to her kids. The story unfolds with her overcoming conflicts and yearning to achieve a sense of liberation like a bird. 

The film is produced by Dream Warrior Pictures. Farhana also stars Selvaraghavan, Jithan Ramesh, Kitty, Anumol and Aishwarya Dutta. Gokul Benoy, known for films like Pannaiyarum Padminiyum and Ratchasi, handles the cinematography for the film with Justin Prabhakaran composing the music. Writers Sankar Dass and Ranjith Ravindran have collaborated with director Nelson for the screenplay.
