On Wednesday, actor Dhanush took to Twitter to pen a note praising Maamannan and the team involved in the film. Maamannan, directed by Mari Selvaraj, is all set to hit theatres on June 29.

Dhanush wrote, "Maamannan by Mari Selvaraj is an emotion. A big hug to you Mari. Vadivelu sir and Udhayanidhi Stalin have delivered a very convincing performance. Great work from Fahadh and Keerthy. Theatres are going to erupt for the interval block. Finally, AR Rahman sir, BEAUTIFUL." (sic)

Dhanush has previously worked with Mari Selvaraj on the latter's sophomore film Karnan. Dhanush's next production venture under Wunderbar Studios is his second film, a new project with Mari Selvaraj.

Starring Vadivelu, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Fahadh Faasil and Keerthy Suresh in lead roles, Maamannan has music by AR Rahman. The film is backed by Udhayanidhi’s Red Giant movies. The technical crew includes cinematographer Theni Eswar, editor Selva, lyricist Yugabharathi, and dance choreographer Sandy.

Notably, it will mark Udhayanidhi's final film as an actor before he takes up a full-fledged political career.
