On Monday, the makers of Sathiya Sothanai announced that the film will hit theatres on July 21. Starring Premgi Amaran in the lead the film is helmed by Suresh Sangaiah. 

Previously, the makers released the teaser of the film. Billed as a comedy entertainer, the teaser shows visuals surrounding a sessions court and a police station, which gives us an idea that the film could be a critique of the legal system. 

Suresh Sangaiah is best known for making the 2017 film Oru Kidayin Karunai Manu. With Premgi in the lead, the cast of the film also includes Swayam Siddha, Reshma Pasupuleti, K.G. Mohan, Selva Murugan, Lakshmi, and Haritha. Sathiya Sothanai is produced by Sameer Bharath Ram under his banner Super Talkies. While the songs for the film are composed by Ragu Raam, the background score is composed by Dheepan Chakaravarthy. 

With Saran RV handling the cinematography, the editing is being taken care of by Venkat Raajen. The director of the film has written the dialogues in collaboration with V Gurunathan. Premgi Amaran’s father and veteran singer/composer/filmmaker Gangai Amaran has lent his vocals for a song in the film.
