Veeran, the recently released Tamil film starring actor Hiphop Tamizha Adhi in the lead role, is set to premiere on Prime Video on June 30, the streaming platform announced.

The fantasy action drama is directed by Ark Saravanan and produced by Sathya Jyothi Films. Besides Adhi, the film also stars Chella, Munishkanth, Vinay Rai, Athira Raj, Kaali Venkat, and Sassi Selvaraj in pivotal roles.

Veeran revolves around a young boy Kumara who hails from Veeranur village. As he is stuck by a lightning that puts him in a coma, his father seeks for a better treatment and decides to send him abroad. But years later, upon his return, Kumara realises that he has gained superpowers which he must now hone to protect his village from an evil corporation and their menacing technology that could endanger innocent lives.

Actor-musician Hiphop Tamizha Adhi said, “As kids we all dreamed of becoming superheroes, and as an actor, I have longed to play the role of one. When I read the story and script, delving further into the character, I was convinced that Veeran is the superhero I was always meant to play. I cannot wait for my fans and audiences across the globe to watch and enjoy the film, when it premieres on Prime Video.”
