On Thursday, the makers of Birthmark announced that the first look motion poster of the film will be released on June 10 at 5 pm. The film is set to feature Shabeer Kallarakkal and Mirnaa in lead roles. Along with the announcement the makers also announced that Shabeer will be seen as Lieutenant Daniel while Mirnaa will play the role of Jennifer Mervin. The film is set in a natural birthing village. 

The film is directed by Vikram Shreedharan, who has also written the script along with Sriram Sivaraman. The upcoming film will mark the first time the actors are collaborating. Birthmark is billed as a mystery thriller.

The duo is also producing Birthmark. The technical crew consists of cinematographer Udhay Thangavel, with music composed by Vishal Chandrashekhar. Ramu Thangaraj has handled the art direction and Iniyavan Pandiyan is the editor. Birthmark is presented by Sapiens Entertainment.

A release date and additional cast details of Birthmark are yet to be announced.
