Rekha of Kadalora Kavithaigal fame will be returning to play the lead role in an upcoming film titled Miriammaa. The film is directed by a debutant named Malathy Narayan, who is a doctor by profession.

Miriammaa is a story of a 50-year-old who undergoes IVF treatment to get pregnant. The film discusses the reasons that compelled her to make the decision in a comical way. 

Also starring Anitha Sampath, VJ Ashiq, Sneha Kumar and Ezhil Durai, the film has cinematography by Jason Williams and music by AR Raihanah. 

Ezhil plays Rekha's son and Sneha plays his love interest. The film went on floors today and will be majorly shot in Korukkupet.
