Digitally remastered version of Enthiran gets an OTT release date

On Thursday, Sun Nxt took to Twitter to announce that the digitally remastered version of Enthiran will release on the platform on June 9. 

A tweet from the streaming platform's official Twitter handle read, "For the first time ever, Enthiran DIGITALLY REMASTERED IN 4K, Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos! Streaming from 9th June only on Sun Nxt. Get ready to witness the visual grandeur like never before!" 

A 2010 sci-fi action film, Enthiran is helmed by Shankar. The film stars Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in lead roles, while Danny Denzongpa, Santhanam and Karunas play supporting roles. 

Enthiran was released worldwide on 1 October 2010. Produced by Kalanithi Maran, it was India's most expensive film up to that point.

Enthiran emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film of 2010 and is the 51st highest-grossing Indian film of all time. It won two National Film Awards and was followed by a standalone sequel, Enthiran 2.0, which was released in late 2018.
