Veteran Tamil actor E Ramadass passess away

Writer, director and actor E Ramadass passed away due to heart attack in Chennai yesterday. The news was confirmed by Ramadass’ son Kalaiselvan through his social media handle. He was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai after complaining about fatigue. He was last seen in the film Varalaru Mukkiyam which was directed by Santhosh Rajan and starred Jiiva in the lead.

E Ramadass made his  directorial debut with the 1986 film Aayiram Pookkal Malarattum which starred Mohan and Seetha playing the lead roles. He then  went on to direct films like Raaja Raajathan, Nenjam Undu Nermai Undu, Ravanan, Vaazhga Jananayagam, and Suyamvaram. He frequently collaborated with veteran music composer Ilaiyaraja. 

He was also known for writing prominent films like Sangamam, Ethirum Puthirum, Nee Indri Naan Illai, and Yuga. E Ramadass was most noted for his  performance in supporting roles, he appeared in films like Vasool Raja MBBS, Yuddham Sei, Cuckoo, Kaaki Sattai, Visaranai, Dharma Durai, and Maari 2
