Actor Mahendran will be leading an action thriller titled Nilakanta. A pan-Indian project, the film is written and directed by  Rakesh Madhavan. Produced by LS productions, the film's female leads are Yashna Chowdary and Neha Pathan.

The film is reportedly set in the village of Saraswathipuram. It is expected to revolve around the reality of society and the difficulties faced by the protagonist, played by Master Mahendran. Reportedly, Nilakanta will also have a special appearance by Sneha Ullal.

Nilakanta's technical crew includes Prashanth BJ composing the music, and Sravan G Kumar handling cinematography as well as editing.  The film will be released in Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

The film also features Ramki, Babloo Prithviraj, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Satya Prakash, and Chithram Seenu and is going to hit the big screen soon.

Mahendran is also filming for Ripubury, Karaa and Amigo Garage.
