Even as the first single of Vaathi, Vaa Vaathi, is ruling the airwaves, the makers of the Dhanush-starrer released the second single. Titled Nadodi Mannan, the song was incidentally launched on the occasion of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and actor-filmmaker MGR, who has worked in a 1958 film of the same name.

Composed by GV Prakash Kumar, Nadodi Mannan, written by Yugabharathi, is sung by Antony Daasan. In the lyric video, we see Dhanush dancing to the folksy song, and there are glimpses of the composer too..

Nadodi Mannan becomes Banjara in the Telugu version of the film, which is titled Sir. Written by Sudha Ashok Teja, Anurag Kulkarni has lent his voice for Banjara

Set for a release on February 17, Vaathi/Sir is backed by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas,  and directed by Venky Atluri..

Set in the 90s, Dhanush plays a junior school teacher named Balamurugan. Samyuktha Menon plays the female lead.

Vaathi also stars Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani, Samuthirakani, Thotapalli Madhu, Aadukalam Naren, and Ilavarasu. The film's technical crew includes cinematographer J Yuvaraj.
