Vijay's Varisu mints big at box office

The film is directed by Vamshi Paidapally

The Vijay-starrer Varisu, which hit the theatres on January 11, is faring well at the box office. The makers on Monday announced that the film grossed over Rs 150 crores at the worldwide box office in just five days. 

Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, Varisu stars Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. The ensemble cast includes Sarath Kumar, Jayasudha, Rashmika Mandanna, Shaam, Srikanth, Samyuktha, Sangeetha, Prakash Raj, Yogi Babu, and VTV Ganesh, among others.

Billed as a family entertainer, the film features Vijay as an entrepreneur who later decides to take up his family business. Produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations and PVP Cinema, Varisu has music by Thaman, and cinematography by Karthik Palani.
