Karthi, who had a happening 2022, is currently filming for his 25th film Japan. Meanwhile, recent speculations suggest that Karthi may collaborate with director Premkumar of 96’ fame. While we await official confirmation, reports also suggest that this film will be backed by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment. 

Previously, there were some reports that suggested Karthi’s collaboration with Nalan Kumarasamy of Soodhu Kavvum fame. However, there has been no confirmation yet. 

Karthi’s Japan is directed by Raju Murugan, who is known for films like Cuckoo and Joker. Anu Emmanuel is playing the female lead in the film, while actor Sunil and cinematographer-director Vijay Milton will also be playing important roles. The film is produced under the banner Dream Warrior Pictures. 

The music of Japan will be composed by GV Prakash Kumar, while Philomin Raj will be handling the edits. Ravi Varman and Vinesh Banglan are the cinematographer and production designer of the film respectively. The film will release in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. Meanwhile, Karthi will also see the release of Ponniyin Selvan II in April this year.
