From AK62 to Revolver Rita, 15 Tamil films to stream on Netflix post-theatrical release

Netflix on Monday announced that 15 Tamil films will stream on the platform post their theatrical release as part of the licensed Tamil content slate for 2023. Marking the festivity of Pongal, Netflix gave a glimpse at the 15 titles on their social media channels. 

The list of films includes some with big stars and many that are backed by Lyca Productions. Vignesh Shivan and Ajith Kumar’s collaboration AK 62 is the most-anticipated film on this list. Lyca Production’s, Chandramukhi 2, Production No 18, Production No 20, and Production No 24 are the other films that were bagged by Netflix. 

Among other big ones are, Raghava Lawrence-SJ Suryah’s Jigarthanda Double X directed by Karthik Subbaraj, Pa Ranjith directorial Thangalaan starring Vikram, and Udayanidhi Stalin-Mari Selvaraj’s Maamannan. Vishnu Vishal’s Aaryan, Vikram Prabhu starrer Iragupattru, Thalaikoothal featuring Samuthirakani, Keerthy Suresh’s Revolver Rita, Jayam Ravi-Nayanthara starrer Iraivan, Karthi’s Japan, Vaathi featuring Dhanush, are the other films that will be available for streaming on Netflix post-theatrical release.
