The makers of Sasikumar's Ayothi released the trailer of the film on Sunday to mark the festive occasion of Pongal.

The trailer, which has a voiceover by Vijay Sethupathi, hints at the various plot points of Ayothi. The film clearly traverses multiple terrains and multiple themes as Sasikumar plays an ambulance driver who finds himself in the crosshairs of a couple of issues. We see language politics being addressed in the same vigour as politics of religion are touched upon in Ayothi

Written and directed by R Manthira Moorthy, Ayothi stars Pugazh in a role that seems to be a welcome change from his usual brand of comedy.

Here's the trailer

Apart from Sasikumar and Pugazh, Ayothi stars a host of actors including Yashpal Sharma, Preethi Asrani, and Bose Venkat.

Bankrolled by R Ravindran's Trident Arts banner, Ayothi has music by NR Raghunandhan, cinematography by Madhesh Manickam, and editing by San Lokesh.
