Actor Karthi had a happening 2022 as he starred in Viruman, Sardar, and Ponniyin Selvan I, all of which were commercially successful. The actor is now working on his 25th film- Japan. The latest speculations are that Karthi has now signed his 26th film, reportedly with director Nalan Kumarasamy. 

Director Nalan is known for his films like Soodhu Kavvum and Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum. While we await official confirmation, the film will be reportedly produced by Studio Green. Meanwhile, Karthi’s upcoming film Japan is directed by Raju Murugan, who previously helmed Joker. Anu Emmanuel is playing the female lead in the film, while actor Sunil and cinematographer-director Vijay Milton will also be playing important roles. The film is produced under the banner Dream Warrior Pictures. 

The music of Japan will be composed by GV Prakash Kumar, while Philomin Raj will be handling the edits. Ravi Varman and Vinesh Banglan are the cinematographer and production designer of the film respectively. The film will release in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. Meanwhile, Karthi will also see the release of Ponniyin Selvan II in April this year.
