Dhanush, who was last seen in Selvaraghavan’s Naane Varuvean, is reportedly all set to begin work on his next directorial. The actor debuted as a director in 2017 with Pa Paandi, starring Rajkiran and Revathy in lead roles. Earlier, reports suggested that Dhanush’s next directorial was a mega-budget with Nagarjuna in the lead. However, speculations are now that the actor-turned-director has decided to go for a more compact film for his next.

If reports are to be believed, Vishnu Vishal and SJ Suryah are to be the leads in the film. Dhanush is expected to play an extended cameo in this film, just like in his previous directorial. The film is likely to be produced by Sun Pictures and the official announcement is yet to be made.

On the acting front, Dhanush is awaiting the release of Vaathi directed by Venky Atluri, which will simultaneously release in Telugu titled Sir. The film might release in February and is in its post-production stage. The actor is also working on Arun Matheswaran’s Captain Miller, and the next schedule is to begin in Tenkasi, Tamil Nadu. Touted to be an action drama, the film is set in the 1980s.
