Suriya, who was last seen in Etharkkum Thunindhavan, is currently working on director Siruthai Siva’s film titled Suriya 42 at the moment. It was earlier reported that the team had taken a break from shooting for New Year. Now speculations are that Suriya has begun shooting for his next schedule. 

Earlier the crew shot some action sequences at Ennore Port in December. Reportedly, they are now shooting at EVP film city in Chennai. The film is a period drama that is set to release in 10 languages and is being made in two parts. Disha Patani is playing the female lead in this high-budget film. Suriya is said to be playing 5 different characters in the film. 

The film’s shooting will most probably be wrapped up by March or April 2023. Devi Sri Prasad will be composing the music for the film, which also stars Kovai Sarala, Yogi Babu, and Redin Kingsley in supporting roles. Suriya will meanwhile also be seen in a cameo in the official Hindi remake of Soorarai Pottru.
